Students Paying Off Credit Cards

In general students get a bad wrap when it comes to their finances, with many believing that they drink away their money down the student bar instead on concentrating on their studies. But it seems that many students are more prudent with debt then the rest of the UK population, according to research by the UK payments association Apacs.

One in six students are avoiding having to pay additional interest and charges by paying back their credit cards in full, meaning that students seem to be managing their debt levels much more effectively. Less than a quarter of students (22%) own credit cards. This figure is much less than the national average of 64 percent.
